I’m writing to you to inform you of an unfortunate and extremely disappointing situation that has come about. In the last days, the Reno Convention Center has informed me that despite the fact we have had a signed contract with them for nearly a year for our room, they only recently realized that all of the other rooms are being used for a children’s volleyball tournament during the same days as our show. Please read the additional attached letter from the Convention Center.
They went on to explain they do not allow a firearms event in the same proximity as a children’s event, and because they are the larger client, our event is the one that they are opting to disallow.
After much effort to plead our position, to no avail, we have arrived at the conclusion that rescheduling to a future date is the best option. Please be assured we have attempted to relocate to better venues and simply feel this is the best option for the show and our vendors’ success.
As you can imagine, the available date choices at this point are slim. After much consideration, and negotiation, we have rescheduled the show for May 29, 30, and 31, 2020. Everything else is the same, we are at the Convention Center, in room #2, with our same floor plan.
I truly appreciate your support and understanding in this situation. As I’ve thought through this, I think it will be a great alternative, as we don’t have worry about weather issues, it’s the weekend after Memorial Day, and the calendar is clear of any conflicting events.
So, in short there will be no show on March 6th weekend, and we have rescheduled to May 29th weekend.
Please remember to cancel and rebook your hotel reservations and anything else that you may have arranged.
You have my sincere apologies for the inconvenience, but I actually think it may turn out to be a great thing. Please contact me if there is anything that I can do.
Thank you so much,
